The aim of the study is to assess whether and under what circumstances the supply of heat energy from TPP Kakanj to Sarajevo is justified. The assessment is carried out through analysis and evaluation of technological, economic and environmental aspects, taking into account institutional aspect and applicable legislation. Activities included: Analysis of the legal and institutional framework; Determination of heat consumption; Analysis of sources of heat; Determination of dimensions and the route of the main hot water pipeline; Determination of dimensions and the route of branch hot water pipelines; Automatic regulation of district heating systems; Environmental analysis of the project; Economic and financial analysis; Risk analysis
